Apply Pen (Outline)

To apply a pen setting (outline) to an object, follow the steps below.

Click on the object or objects (using the shift key) you want to apply a pen to.

With the object(s) selected, click on the 'Pen settings' button.

This will open the 'Pen Settings' dialog.

Click on the 'Color' box. This will open the 'Color' dialog.

Click on the box with the color you want then click 'OK'. This will take you back to the 'Pen Settings' dialog.

Click the 'Style' drop down arrow

to select the style of line you want. (NOTE: Most people choose the solid line at the top.)

Now define how thick the border should be. If you want a 1 inch pen type '1' in the 'Width' field. Many times '0.03' is sufficient.

Click 'OK' to apply the pen to the selected objects. (Remember to view the template at 100% to see how big the pen actually is.)
